Jason Khurdan

 

Jason Khurdan has a passion for people helping people. His background is in business, technology, and accessibility. After completing his undergraduate studies in Political Science and graduate studies in Global Affairs at Rutgers University, Jason founded The Guardian Fellowship, a nonprofit organization with the mission to mentor young people and help them create personal development goals that propel them toward recognizing their dreams. In 2017, Jason relaunched the program as the Guardian Institute for Leadership, composed of three unique sectors: near-peer mentoring, skills training, and a marketplace to help businesses find the right people to tackle their biggest problems. Jason’s experience in mentoring provides him with the skill and insight to help people become the best version of themselves.

In addition to his mentoring work, he is engaged in accessibility services and is currently the Manager of Central Services at Rutgers University. Jason and his team assess student needs and help to provide appropriate technology. This includes setting up augmentive communication devices for individuals who have challenges with speaking, providing access to digital FM systems for individuals who are Hard of Hearing, creating new ways for individuals who are blind to access information, and assisting in providing prosthetic limbs to those with mobility issues.

Jason has also written books on leadership, studied economics in Argentina through New York University, and attended the Credential of Readiness Program at Harvard Business School. In his spare time, he practices the Japanese martial art of Aikido and enjoys 3D design and printing.
